Ladies aren't the only ones flocking to be part of the tanning craze. In fact, men tan just as often as women do and work hard to look as if they've been on holiday. Although tanning beds are the most common method that men use to get their skin to that nice, warm shade, bronzers can actually be more effective for achieving a quick glow.
Just as pale skin connotes unhealthiness and lack of energy in women, pale skin in a man hints at someone whose been stuck indoors all year long. If you're a guy whose unsatisfied with his look and don't have time to build your tan, self tanning lotions that include bronzers could be a quick and adequate answer to your problems. Spray and indoor tanners include two main components, DHA for coloring your skin brown and bronzers for giving it a fast glow. This type of product dries fast but wears off fast too.
Because too much bronzer can end up looking fake and feminine, do proceed with baby steps. Men should take extra care to choose a shade that is no more than 2 levels darker than their natural skin.
If self tanners are too slow for you, or if you would like to just see how you may look with a slight tan, consider trying a makeup bronzer. Ladies, feel free to help your man with this part. These products are sort of like a light blush that can be applied to the forehead, nose, chin, and cheekbones. The shading rule still applies. Apply it lightly and with a very large, fluffy brush to avoid harsh lines. If you don't like the results, just wash it off.
If you did decide to get a self tanner tan and you hate the results, rub over it with a sliced lemon or baking soda. This should make the take come right off.
